The Gentlebirth workshop is divided into 3 areas, childbirth education (antenatal education), meditation and hypnosis and is perfect for those who wish to be actively involved in the decision making and to learn what choices are available during labour and birth.
All the information in the Gentlebirth workshop is based on the latest evidence based research available.
Gentlebirth utilises proven brain science techniques, including hypnosis, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), meditation, mindfulness, and sports psychology, all of which help to reduce anxiety in labour and no matter what arises on your birthing day, you will have the confidence to face positively.
During your Gentlebirth workshop you will learn about all the comfort measures that you can utilise including acupressure, aromatherapy, reflexology, tens machines as well as what analgesics may be available.
The workshop is very informative for the birth partner who will receive all the knowledge they need to be the best support as well as advocate on the day.
Also available is a Gentlebirth App, which is a wonderful accompaniment along your journey throughout pregnancy and preparation for childbirth. The Gentlebirth App offers daily brain training using simple breathing techniques, meditation, mindfulness and hypnosis for whatever stage you are at and there is also the Gentlebirth Mums group for parents to be which is a wonderful supportive community.
Gentlebirth workshops are usually available in small groups (1 day, 2 half days) in person or online and also PRIVATE 1 TO 1 in comfort of your home or at Pinecrest or online .
